MORE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  2. Only burn candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  3. Never use water to extinguish a candle.
  4. Ensure wicks are upright and trimmed to 7mm (1/4 inch) during use and each time candle is relit.
  5. Do not burn your candle for less than 1 hour or more than 4 hours at a time.
  6. Discontinue burning candle when less than 2cm of wax remains (1/2 inch) of un-melted wax remains in the bottom of the vessel
  7. Never move a burning candle. Ensure candle is extinguished, wax is solid and jar is cold before handling.
  8. Do not burn candles in drafty areas, near open windows, air ducts or fans.
  9. Keep away from children, pets and flammable materials.
  10. Do not use the lid to extinguish candle.
GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR CANDLE
The first time you burn your candle, burn it for at least approx. 2 hours or until the melt pool - the liquified wax on the top layer of a burning candle - nears the edge of the vessel.

Thereafter, do not burn for less than one hour or more than four hours at a time.
Trim wicks to 7mm before each use. If wicks are too short the wax may not burn all the way to the edge (tunnelling); if too long, the wicks may appear to mushroom and cause black soot on the vessel.

Do not use candle if you find the vessel is cracked or broken.

If you can, use a candle snuffer to extinguish a candle flame – otherwise blow gently onto flame until it is extinguished. Never use the candle lid to extinguish the flame.

When not in use, however, keep the candle covered to avoid dust build-up and to help preserve its scent.

Our soy-beeswax blended candles are poured by hand and crafted in small batches to prevent. Due to their handmade nature, certain wax flaws are not uncommon. Fragrance, burning habits and environmental conditions can all affect the candles burning time.

CLEANING & REPURPOSING
We have specially designed our candle vessel to not only look beautiful in your homes, but so that you can easily transform and repurpose the vessels, in a few simple steps.

For safety reasons do not burn a candle to the bottom of the vessel. Instead stop burning it once it has less than 2cm (1/2”) of wax remaining.  Allow it to cool completely, then follow these steps:
  • Fill the vessel with approximately 5 cm of water.
  • Use a butter knife to carve an “X” into the remaining wax, then use the knife to run along the edges of the wax.
  • This should loosen up your wax, and you should now be able to use the butter knife of pry out the wax from the bottom.
  • Use hot, soapy water to clean up the remaining residue – then repurpose away.
  • We think they’re perfect for storing doggy treats or to turn into pot plants.
